It is an improved version of the Shoreline Shiner Z 97S and is a lure to be used in rocky areas and in boat fishing. The weight setting and the balance of the lure does not affect the action of the previous version, or the casting distance.

One technology that the 97S have been incorporated with is the "Silent Weight Oscillation System". It is a weight transfer system built around a stainless steel axis.
