Yamaga Blanks Galahad

Yamaga Blanks (the makers of Ripple Fisher rods) have produced the superb range of Galahad jigging rods. Whilst the Galahad is a name that's been around for a while, as with a number of Yamaga Blanks models the Galahad has been reinvented for 2015 with new blanks, new models and a range of features like double lock nut Fuji reel seats and an awesome new finish. The range has also been expanded to incude these awesome slow jig models with added length and the perfect action to get the absolute most from your slow jigs.

Due to their huge carbon content these rods are outrageously light, incredibly strong and feature a seriously awesome action that will bring your jigs to life.

The New Galahad series are now more sensitive and more powerful with greater strength. The blanks have been redesigned to sense the subtle changes in current. The butt section is also redesigned to accommodate more loading power.

We have also added two models in light and medium class for overhead reels. With the introduction of slow pitch jigging recently, the basic style of jigging has also changed drastically. The blanks have become lighter, thinner and easier to work when jerking jigs. This is in contrast to the old days where the angler has work the jigs furiously. The short slim blank of the Galahad is ever ready to hook up a big one and will withstand more than expected.

A rod that is stiff or soft is of no use if it's unable to perform to its design. Slow pitch rods require a certain ‘taut' and flexibility in order to work the jig and makes it drop as intended. For these, the Galahad series have been carefully designed with our cutting edge technology so as to prevent loss of momentum and rhythm when working on the jigs.
