Colmic Travetto Surf Snap

A very practical accessory, for in-shore fishing enthusiasts and especially for the Surf Casting and Beach Ledgering techniques.

The Travetto Surf Snap as most Italian anglers call it, or Urfe for the Spanish, is an accessory that all Casting fishermen have in their tackle box. It consists of the main axis made of stainless steel, which at the top has a strong, rotating swivel and at the bottom, a snap for rigging the sinker. The biggest part of the body has a heat-shrinkable coating for a secure grip of the sinker during casting.

In the middle of the axis there is a small, strong swivel, between two plastic beads.

Attach the line from the reel to the upper swivel of the Colmic Travetto snap, the sinker to the bottom snap and pass the branch line through the small swivel in the middle of the shaft.

Although the length of the line is a matter of preference, we recommend a long branch line, between 1 to 1.5 m. if the fish seem playful and nibble the bait. A shorter branch line (between 40 and 80 cm) can be used when we want sharp hook sets.

The Colmic Mini Trave snaps are made to have high resistance to large weights during casting, or during hook-sets, especially if your rig has one, single hook. This type of rigging, will allow you to cast much further than trolling rigs and will allow you to fish without tangles.
