The Daiwa Emeraldas V LT makes its mark on the scene, with a stunning double handle, with EVA knobs.

The V edition makes LT performance more accessible to squid anglers. Available in 2500 and 3000 sizes, it boasts the latest Daiwa technologies, including ATD drag, Air Rotor and MagSealed oil. With the Emeraldas V LT, you will feel the effects of precision-engineered quality. Smooth rotation is guaranteed by the ergonomic Arc Rotor.

Toughness is everywhere you look: the wide, hollow bail arm made of duraluminium, the Tough Digigear drive gear, the ATD drag smoothed with high-tech lubricant and replete with a full-size locking button, and the double handle with EVA fighting grips. Why would anyone need a Double Spinning Reel handle? For three very important reasons:

There are fishing techniques, such as Eging, or retrieving styles that need to be executed at a low speed. If your reel has a high Gear Ratio, you might not be able to fish productively. So you are faced with two options: either to change the reel, or change the handle. The Emeraldas Double Reel Handle performs a circle of a smaller radius, hence the circumference is shorter. As a result the speed of your reel, is significantly lower, compared to single handles.

The second benefit has to do with the pace of the retrieve. The double handle enables the angler to perform a steady retrieve, to keep the speed stable, especially under slow retrieve. The Emeraldas Double Handle (creates a counter balance) and is not automatically rotated because of its weight. This allows for better line slack control and controlled speed.

The third reason has to do with the speed by which you can find and grab the reel's handle, after continuous twitches.

The body of the Daiwa Emeraldas LT 2500S-DH is totally sealed thanks to MagSealed technology, which creates a magnetic field to guarantee smoothness all the while blocking intrusion from exterior elements. The youngest in the Emeraldas range makes no compromises when it comes to quality and performance.

LT Light Touch - As part of the LT technology, Daiwa introduces reels that are lighter but stronger than ever before, thanks to redesigned, reduced reel dimensions. The combination of a compact reel body and a stronger Digigear transmission allows the perfect combination of lightness, twist-resistance and strength.

Airbail - Daiwa's innovative bail design featuring a hollow tubular stainless steel bail for maximum rigidity and strength with minimum weight. Due to the smooth, protrusion-free design of the Air Bail, even loose line common after a cast slides easily down the bail onto the line roller as the reel is rned, without snagging or hanging up.

Magsealed - Ball bearings are perhaps one of the first few components to succumb to dirt particles or corrosion in a fishing reel after prolonged use in saltwater. Using the same ferrofluid technology (Mag Seal) for creating a waterproof seal with magnetized oil in place of conventional O rings, Daiwa seals its ball bearings with Mag Seal, making them dustproof and waterproof, thus prolonging the lifespan (and smoothness) of the bearings. View here a graphic representation of the Magsealed Technology.

Infinite Anti-Reverse - Limits rearward backplay handle movement to almost zero for solid hooksets with less shock to the reel. No handle slap-back on hooksets and no release of slack line.

Air Rotor - Air Rotor has been hollowed out to create airflow through the whole rotor system. This prevents foreign material such as water, salt, sand and dust collecting inside the reel, the added air flow eliminates moist build up in the reel preventing corrosion issues. View here a graphical representation of the Air Rotor technology.

ATD – Automatic Tournament Drag - The Automatic Tournament Drag System(ATD) is a new introduction into DAIWA spinning reels and is offering better protection of your line. ATD works like this, at the beginning of a strike the drag starts smoothly, then increases to its pre-set drag rating in a fraction of a second, thus eliminating line breakage at the strike.Daiwa's exclusive new ultimate drag system combines ultra smooth low inertia with ultimate fish stopping power.

ABS (Anti Backlash System) - Daiwa's unique reverse taper results in less line tangle and longer castability also. The oversized design provides higher winding speed and better drag performance.

Silent Oscillation - By combining Digigear drive with dampening washes, this means this fishing reel is virtually noise free.

Cross Wrap - Daiwa´s unique Crosswrap Line Laying System, cross wraps the line on the spool avoiding line dig, increases line pick up and further increases casting distance. The Crosswrap System, prevents the twisting of braided lines around the axis, a problem spin anglers had in the past.

CRBB Ball Bearings - Shielded for extra protection. Unlike ordinary "corrosion resistant" bearings with un unprotected open race, DAIWA's CRBB ball bearings are shielded to seal out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives for even longer life. CRBB ball bearings feature an 12 times higher corrosion resistance than usual ball bearings.

Digigear II - Digital gear design ensures a perfect mesh between ultra-tough, surface treated alloy drive gear and marine bronze pinion gear for optimized speed, power and durabilty.

Twist Buster 2 - The Twist Buster, which gets its power from CRBB (Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearing), furthermore lessens line rubbing on the roller. Twist Buster is Daiwa's innovative line twist reduction system. It reduces line twist problems on spinning reels via a special collar that is designed that a line always travels a certain place at a right angle to the roller pivot. In addition, the T.B. line roller has a special taper. With the use of this taper, twisting of the outer line which is caused by rotor rotation can be greatly reduced giving the opposite rotation of the rotor rotation to the line when rolling up the line. The result...less line twists.
